As a prospective student it is your job to do your due diligence and be sure you are given every opportunity and resource needed to become successful in your career path of interest. Having been a student once myself there were things I needed to help strengthen my skill set in information technology. Having a IT career college that offers expert vendors certifications is crucial. Most Employers require IT certifications over Information Technology Degrees. So when picking an IT school do yourself a favor and pick a school that is partnered up with some of the biggest names in Information Technology. The school I attended was Asher Career Institute, They are partnered with Microsoft and are a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. They offer Microsoft certifications like Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist, Microsoft Certified IT Professional Enterprise Administrator and more. But make sure they offer more then one companies solutions. Asher Career Institute also offered me CompTIA certifications, They were also a CompTIA partner. That was almost enough to sell me on their school but the icing on the cake was Asher College is also a Cisco Partner, and they offered me Cisco CCNA as one of my IT programs certifications. Having the hands on experience with the certifications in Information Technology and career services that I was offered? I could not resist so I enrolled at Asher Career Institute. Some students are visual learners and to be able to see and emulate what the Instructor is doing is a huge asset.
